1000 stands for full or complete

The thousand year reign is mentioned only in Revelation chapter 20 as if it is a new insight, at the end of their new beginning. We have to ask which 1000 years needed Jesus to rein them in by reigning in them?

1 Peter 1:13 (To the first century Diaspora)

CLV 13 Wherefore, girding up the loins of your comprehension, being sober, expect perfectly the grace which is being brought to you at the unveiling of Jesus Christ."

Revelation 1:1 (Revelation means Unveiling)

KJV 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass;

Much of this disclosure employs and fulfills the old testament types. Jesus fulfilled the Jewish types in unexpected ways. Veils are in the temple and at weddings.

Revelation 20:2-7 (The thousand years is mentioned here only)

LITV 2 And he laid hold of the dragon, the old serpent who is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 and threw him into the abyss, and shut him up, and sealed over him, that he should not still lead astray the nations, until the thousand years are fulfilled. And after these things, he must be set loose a little time. 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them. And judgment was given to them, and the souls of the ones having been beheaded because of the witness of Jesus, and because of the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast nor its image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him a thousand years. 7 And whenever the thousand years are ended, Satan will be set loose out of his prison,

The retromillennial reign of Christ cancelled all previous debts and fulfilled the Jubilee typology with one final restart. That's grace!

Which thousand year period was about to pass? We argue over whether Jesus' reign will be premillennial, postmillennial or amillennial. How about retroactive-millennial or retromillennial? Jesus reversed the thousand year Jewish curse. The Jews lived for 490 years in the land without keeping land sabbaths. Then after 70 sabbath make-up years in exile, the tribe of Judah was allowed to return to the land (Daniel 9:25). The 490 years were supposed to contain 10 jubilees. Jubilee years recount the first year in the land to arrive at 50 years. 490 plus 10 jubilees equals 500 years. The second 490 years in the land was the count till the messiah arrived to rein in the last jubilee. A jubilee is every 50 years. Is it just a coincidence that the Jews were finishing their second 500 years of not keeping land sabbaths, which means they had missed 20 jubilees when Revelation 20 was being written? 20 missed jubilees = 1000 cursed years. 1000 is a full measure of curses.

The nations were being protected from the deception of Satan as the thousand years culminated with the 70 sabbath make-up years of Christ. All lands were coming into the (raised from the fall) Jewish covenant that had been redeemed by the Jewish messiah for His final land sabbath. If Jesus was born in 3 BC then His 70 sabbath make-up years culminated at the time Rome broke their covenant with Jerusalem.

;the war, ending in the destruction of Jerusalem, lasted from spring A.D. 67 to autumn A.D. 70, that is, just three and a half years, or the last half week of years [Josephus, Wars of the Jews, 6.6].

Revelation 20:2-3

YLT 2 and he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, who is Devil and Adversary, and did bind him a thousand years, 3 and he cast him to the abyss, and did shut him up, and put a seal upon him, that he may not lead astray the nations any more, till the thousand years may be finished; and after these it behoveth him to be loosed a little time.

Those Jews who did not fall for Satan were reigning with Christ in the old covenant/new covenant overlapping years.

Revelation 20:4

YLT 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them, and the souls of those who have been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus, and because of the word of God, and who did not bow before the beast, nor his image, and did not receive the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand, and they did live and reign with Christ the thousand years;

Those who did fall for Satan's promises to rule (be like God) still under law mode (knowledge of good and evil), stayed in Jerusalem and made a covenant with the Roman kingdom. Just as his first deception brought first death to Adam, so his last deception brought the second death to the old covenant. The flesh and blood Jews made a covenant with the kingdom that Satan was ruling, then their destruction came. Flesh and blood did not inherit the kingdom after all. Born again Jews did.

John 3:15 (Don't trust in Rome to save you[p]. Trust Jesus)

ECB 15 so that whoever trusts in him destructs not, but has eternal life.

Rome makes a covenant with Jerusalem then destroys her.

Daniel 9:25-27

YLT 25 And thou dost know, and dost consider wisely, from the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem till Messiah the Leader is seven weeks, and sixty and two weeks: the broad place hath been built again, and the rampart, even in the distress of the times. 26 And after the sixty and two weeks, cut off is Messiah, and the city and the holy place are not his, the Leader who hath come doth destroy the people; and its end is with a flood, and till the end is war, determined are desolations. 27 And he hath strengthened a covenant with many—one week, and in the midst of the week he causeth sacrifice and present to cease, and by the wing of abominations he is making desolate, even till the consummation, and that which is determined is poured on the desolate one.'

Those in the first resurrection completed the thousand years before AD 70; time enough for Satan to be released to gather the nations of his kingdom so he could destroy the land where his captor was born.

Satan caused the nations to destroy his own sons who were busily persecuting God's true sons.

Matthew 12:26

CLV 26 And if the Satan is casting out the Satan, he is parted against himself. How, then, shall his kingdom stand?

Adam was not allowed to seal his fate by living to 1000 in the cursed mode. Jewish unbelievers did seal there fate by reaching 1000 years in their cursed mode. Their covenant death became permanent, i.e., the second death.

Revelation 20:5 (Jesus' teleos of the 1000 years is the first resurrection)

ALT 5 And the rest of the dead did not live until the thousand years are completed. This [is] the first resurrection.

The word translated completed is from the Greek word teleo. Jesus' teleos is the first resurrection. Those in the fulfillment were blessed. Those who rejected the final Jubilee and sabbath make-up stayed cursed in the first death and went to the second death.

The first century martyrs were told to wait for their bretheren who were about to join them before vengence was taken on the land.

Revelation 6:9-11 (The new Jewish priests of the messiah were asking for blood vengence)

YLT 9 And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony that they held, 10 and they were crying with a great voice, saying, `Till when, O Master, the Holy and the True, dost Thou not judge and take vengeance of our blood from those dwelling upon the land?' 11 and there was given to each one white robes, and it was said to them that they may rest themselves yet a little time, till may be fulfilled also their fellow-servants and their brethren, who are about to be killed—even as they.

Revelation 20:6

Blessed and holy whoever has part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority: but they become priests of Elohim and of Messiah and reign with him a thousand years.

Adam died because the devil told Eve that she would not die after eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam knowingly disobeyed and died with her. This brought curses upon both of them. Adam could not live forever in that old covenant condition so he was blocked from the tree of life. Adam died 70 years short of 1000. He could not live to 1000 years in his cursed state or his fate would have been sealed. 1000 years in the flesh represents a full life lived. Jesus came to rescue Adam from the covenant curses brought on by Satan's deception. Jesus took 70 years from the time of his birth to accomplish it. Those in Christ were completely raised by the time the 70 years was up. Then came the second resurrection. I think?

A preliminary sign of the retroactive power of the reign of Christ occurred.

Matthew 27:52-53

CLV 52 and the tombs were opened. And many bodies of the reposing saints were roused, 53 and, coming out of the tombs after His rousing, they entered into the holy city and are disclosed to many."

Some in the death of Adam were resurrected only for judgement

John 5:28-29 (Two Resurrections)

CLV 28 Marvel not at this, for coming is the hour in which all who are in the tombs shall hear His voice, 29 and those who do good shall go out into a resurrection of life, yet those who commit bad things, into a resurrection of judging."

1 John 3:14 (Paul hated his Jewish brothers until he met Jesus)

ECB 14 We know that we departed from death to life, because we love the brothers. Whoever loves not his brother abides in death:

With the make up years the 490 becomes a partly symbolic 500 because the 10 Jubilees are counted in. The 70 exile years redeemed the fallen sabbatical years and allowed the Jews to re-enter the land. The Jews were not unfamiliar with concept of the old era overlapping into the new. As they counted to the jubilee year, the second half of the 49th year was counted as the 50th year and then overlapped for 6 months into the first year of their next count to 50 years. 500 + 500 = 1000 years. 930 + 70 = 1000 years.

Adam was not allowed to live to 1000. He lived to 930 years.

Adam's fallen and cursed descendents (his body) steadily forfeited Adam's tree of life longevity.

Genesis 3:22-23

CLV 22 And saying is Yahweh Elohim, "Behold! The human becomes as one of us, knowing good and evil. And now, lest he stretch forth his hand, moreover, and take of the tree of the living, and eat and live for the eon--! 23 And Yahweh Elohim is sending him away from the garden of Eden to serve the ground whence he is taken.

Jesus removed the second 500 year curse with His 70 years and gave immortality to the new Jewish body (nation, church).

1 Peter 2:9 (To the Diaspora body)

CLV 9 Yet you are a chosen race, a "royal priesthood, a "holy nation,a procured people, so that you should be recounting the virtues of Him Who calls you out of darkness into His marvelous light,

Death could not hold God's people any more.

Matthew 16:16-18 (Jesus built the made-new Jewish assembly)

LITV 16 And answering, Simon Peter said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And answering, Jesus said to him, Blessed are you, Simon, son of Jonah, for flesh and blood did not reveal it to you, but My Father in Heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against her.

Flesh and blood tried to keep the old man/adamic covenant.

The power of Hades was due to the mediation God had set up through the law of his Holy People. It killed all who tried to keep it in the flesh. The new covenant mediation mode is more effective and powerful. The Law of Moses made specific regulations regarding the admission into Israel's community for those who were not born Israelites. Even the first Gentile proselyte to the new Jewish covenant used a very reluctant Jew named Peter to mediate the rebirth. The Holy Spirit went to Cornelius and the Jews were astonished.

Jeremiah 31:33

ECB 33 For this is the covenant I cut with the house of Yisra El: After those days, - an oracle of Yah Veh I give my torah in their inwards and inscribe it in their hearts; and I become their Elohim and they become my people:

Israel was blessed for a while in their old covenant, then like Adam, was sent out to serve the land it was created from.

Deuteronomy 30:1

LITV 1 And it shall be when all these things have come on you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you among all the nations where Jehovah your God shall drive you, you shall bring back to your heart these things;

Direct access to the Tree of life was restored to everyone in the new city. Unbelievers in Satan's kingdom would try to change God's revelation and promote an old lie.

Revelation 22:19 (Genesis 3:22-23)

ALT 19 And if anyone takes away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, the [things] having been written in this scroll.

Cursed to 40 years for their 40 days of unfaithfulness

Numbers 14:34

CLV 34 By the number of the days in which you explored the land, forty days, a day for a year, a day for a year, shall you bear your depravities: forty years; thus you will realize My repudiation.

Jesus also spent 40 days in the land before he returned to the Father with a good report. Maybe Jesus' next 10 days with the father had something to do with the 10 neglected jubilee years. Jesus may have reversed these covenant curses by mediating in a glorious new covenant day for each Jubilee year they missed. Yeshua took a faithful report to Yahwey. He believed He could conquer the promised land; i.e., bring sabbath rest to the new covenant land. After ten days with the Father (ten spies) Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to the Jews on pentecost. They were finally enabled to enter into the promised land of God's presence in their renewed covenant. Of course the main curse was removed by putting eschaton Adam to death and establishing Himself as the head human of the reborn covenant, but only Jesus was in this new creation until pentecost, when his brother Jews entered their national betrothal period. If Jesus wanted to start from scratch he could have taken a bride in the flesh and started a new family. He came to save the national family. Jesus became the completed image of God in old covenant Adam and made him the head of their made new covenant; from sabbath rest to sabbath rest.

Joshua 23:10 (Jesus overcame 1000 years of enmity)

CLV 10 one man of you does pursue a thousand, for Yahweh your Elohim [is] He who is fighting for you, as He has spoken to you;"

The new creation is the rebirthed covenant

The new covenant is the rebirthed creation

1 Peter 1:18-19 (To those in the Diaspora)

ALT 18 knowing that not with corruptible [things like] silver or gold were you(p) redeemed from your(p) futile way of life handed down by your(p) fathers, 19 but with [the] precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless,

Were rocks and trees anticipating the new covenant sons? The new creation was being born out of the existing governmental body/bodies. The Jews were the firstfruit body. The tribes were in the diaspora curse; serving the land they were taken from. That curse became the promised blessing to all of creation.

Romans 8:18-23

CLV 18 For I am reckoning that the sufferings of the current era do not deserve the glory about to be revealed for us. 19 For the premonition of the creation is awaiting the unveiling of the sons of God. 20 For to vanity was the creation subjected, not voluntarily, but because of Him Who subjects it, in expectation" 21 that the creation itself, also, shall be freed from the slavery of corruption into the glorious freedom of the children of God." 22 For we are aware that the entire creation is groaning and travailing together until now. 23 Yet not only so, but we ourselves also, who have the firstfruit of the spirit, we ourselves also, are groaning in ourselves, awaiting the sonship, the deliverance of our body."

Human creations are governments promoting the image of God that He initiated in Adam (the human is Adam). We are not told to submit to inhumane creations. Jesus is the image of God in Adam; fulfilled in the first century. Humanity had pervaded the nations through the Disapora. The nations were cultivated by the Jews; for the gospel of the ultimate human.

1 Peter 2:13-15 (The diaspora was told not to rebel against Rome)

YLT 13 Be subject, then, to every human creation, because of the Lord, whether to a king, as the highest, 14 whether to governors, as to those sent through him, for punishment, indeed, of evil-doers, and a praise of those doing good; 15 because, so is the will of God, doing good, to put to silence the ignorance of the foolish men;

Romans 5:14 (The covenant curse of death typically reigned)

CLV 14 nevertheless death reigns from Adam unto Moses, over those also who do not sin in the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him Who is about to be."

The final old covenant vengence of AD 70 was after the 1000 years was complete. Those in the flesh who did not receive the Holy Spirit completed their 1000 fallen years without the blessing of Christ's resurrection. They did not enter the city of God and eat of the tree of life and live forever.

The old covenant government in first century Jerusalem was cursed to Gahenna destruction by Jesus himself. Jesus rules through his entire creation. He even uses fallen princes to do his will. He used Satan to get Rome to end his old covenant creation. The conflagration was said to be brought down from heaven even though the Romans lit it.

Matthew 23

Revelation 20:9

YLT 9 and they did go up over the breadth of the land, and did surround the camp of the saints, and the beloved city, and there came down fire from God out of the heaven, and devoured them;

The sons of Israel in diaspora were designated to open their new city gates by taking the gospel without land borders to reap from the nations. The new city, now extending from heaven, is incorruptible. It's glory and honor comes from the image of God in Christ. Eschaton Adam transferred the image of God in Adam to the new heavenly city of humans. Christ's image is developed in people of all races through the church. Those living in heaven are surely participating in the life of the city. The new city of God is blessed not cursed. The glory from the nations is being brought into it through Christ.

Revelation 21:9-12, 24, 27

ALT 9 And one of the seven angels came, the one having the seven bowls full of the last seven plagues, and he spoke with me, saying, "Come, I will show to you the wife, the bride of the Lamb." 10 And he carried me away in spirit [or, by [the] Spirit] to a great and high mountain and showed to me the {great} city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Its light [is] like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone clear as crystal, 12 having a great and high wall, having twelve gates and twelve angels at the gates and names having been inscribed, which are [the] {names} of the twelve tribes of {the} sons of Israel: 24 And the nations will walk about by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring to it [the] glory and honor of the nations into it. 27 And by no means shall any defiling [thing] and [anyone] doing an abomination and a lie enter into it, but only the ones having been written in the Scroll of Life of the Lamb.

The ministry of Jesus is presented by Luke as fulfilling Old Testament types and expectations. Jesus ministered to Jerusalem for the last week of years; from sabbath year to sabbath year. His ministry started in the 483rd year, which was a sabbath year of release. The Grand Jubilee was in the 490th year, which was also a sabbath year. He is the Jubilee antitype. He reined in the last Jubilee, from his baptism in the sabbath year of release to the stoning of Steven in the sabbath year of Jubilee.

The Book Of Jubilees (At least this book contains first or second century B.C. Jewish thought)

For this reason he did not complete the years of this day; for he died during it.

According to Robert H. Charles, Adam died in the year 930 on the old creation calendar. 19 x 49 = 931. The sixth year of the seventh week of years is the year before the 19th Jubilee. If Eschaton Adam was born around 3 B.C. then our calendar is a few years off. He may have been 70 in the fall of the year 67. He marries the made new bride 3 years before the final old covenant land destruction of AD 70. The old bride was widowed on the cross.

'in the earth' should probably be translated 'in the land' so we can understand it better, since earth has come to mean the planet Earth. Jewish tradition held that Able could not be burried in the land before Adam was.

Luke 4:14-21

YLT 14 And Jesus turned back in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a fame went forth through all the region round about concerning him, 15 and he was teaching in their synagogues, being glorified by all. 16 And he came to Nazareth, where he hath been brought up, and he went in, according to his custom, on the sabbath-day, to the synagogue, and stood up to read; 17 and there was given over to him a roll of Isaiah the prophet, and having unfolded the roll, he found the place where it hath been written: 18 `The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because He did anoint me; To proclaim good news to the poor, Sent me to heal the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives deliverance, And to blind receiving of sight, To send away the bruised with deliverance, 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.' 20 And having folded the roll, having given it back to the officer, he sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue were gazing on him. 21 And he began to say unto them—`To-day hath this writing been fulfilled in your ears;'

John 12:32

32 And I, if I should be exalted out of the land, I shall be drawing all (people) to Myself.

Matthew 11:22-23

LITV 22 But I say to you, It shall be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon in Judgment Day than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, who "have been exalted to the heaven, you will be thrown down to Hades." For if the powerful acts happening in you had taken place in Sodom, it would remain until today. Isa. 14:13, 15

God gave his only begotten son a human body when Mary gave birth to him. 70 years later God gave to his son the corporate human body of the church at his wedding. This fulfills the 70 years when the land kept it's sabbath, because Jesus; the true sabbath rest, was in the land. He redeemed the 1000 years and conquered the old covenant death. The body of Christ is eternal. Apparently the 490 year countdown overlapped into over half of this 70 years; to the stoning of Stephen. It was after Jesus' individual body ascended that his corporate body was given birth. Jubilee is a fresh restart to the first year in the land, which was fulfilled by leaving the old covenant land of types and including all the races; all creation; all the lands.

The Grand Jubilee Of The 490 Year Cycle

Jesus had a 3 1/2 year ministry in Jerusalem, which only lasted half of the last seven years. Jesus' corporate body began with the first half of the Jewish marriage covenant right in the middle of the last seven. How could Steven's death 3 1/2 years later be the Grand Jubilee of the 490? Was Stephen truly set free? He did not fear death and he was free in his spirit to forgive even his murderers while in the act. The Holy Spirit had taken up residence in Stephen; the new covenant temple. Unlike Jesus, Stephen was in the presence of Yahwey even as he was being murdered; so Stephen did not die in covenant death as Jesus did. In the last year of the 490, the church (new temple of the spirit of God) was launched from the land of Jerusalem. Heaven was open and Jesus was standing by the Father.

Acts 7:55-56 (The heavens are opened for humanity; Jubilee)

ECB 55 but being full of the Holy Spirit, he stares into the heavens and sees the glory of Elohim; and Yah Shua standing at the right of Elohim, 56 and says, Behold, I observe the heavens open, and the Son of humanity standing at the right of Elohim.

The exilics' return to the land under Cyrus restarted the 50-year counts to the Jubilees. The first of the next ten Jubilees was the dedication of the rebuilt temple. The last year of the 490 was the last Jubilee. It was the dedication of the new covenant temple, where God's spirit now takes up His residence.

Daniel 9:25...

YLT 25 And thou dost know, and dost consider wisely, from the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem till Messiah the Leader is seven weeks, and sixty and two weeks:

The last year of first seven-weeks of years (49th year is Jubilee) marked the typical dedication of the second temple. The tenth Jubilee (the last year of the last seven weeks) set God's people free from the physical land to serve Christ in spirit in whatever land they choose to cultivate.

Seventy-weeks of years (490th year) is the Grand Jubilee sabbath. The land was supposed to be at rest, instead the temple of the Holy Spirit was being driven out of typical Jerusalem and launched into the nations. This was both a curse and a blessing. Those who stayed would rebel against Rome and be destroyed; Satan's last act of destruction was God's will.

You are the temple of the Holy Spirit in the new covenant. The image of God is made to stand in the temple; you.

Rome made a covenant with Jerusalem only to break it after 3 1/2 years. If Jesus was born in 3 BC then his 70 years was complete in 67 AD; the same time Rome broke covenant with Jerusalem in the flesh. The antitypical 40 years of making the new body after the second exodus from 'Egypt' was also woven into the fulfillment.

Sevens Are Completions

Deuteronomy 15:1

Thomson 1 Every seven years thou shalt make a release.

Jesus was crucified in the middle of the last week of the 490 years just as he was crucified in the middle of his last week of days and in the middle of the sun's setting; the sun sets from noon till six ('between the evenings'). He was resurrected to the third day of the seven days of unleavened bread; as the new leaven. The seventh day sabbath was the third day of unleavened bread that year.

Daniel 9:26-27 (see 9:25 above)

YLT 26 And after the sixty and two weeks, cut off is Messiah, and the city and the holy place are not his... 27 And he hath strengthened a covenant with many—one week, and in the midst of the week he causeth sacrifice and present to cease...

After 69 weeks of years the messiah is cut off. He is cut off in the middle of the 70th week; after his 3 1/2 year ministry that strengthens his disciples and confirms the arrival of the new covenant. He is crucified in the middle of the last week of years just as he was crucified in the middle of the last week of days. The unbelievers get another last seven years of final anti-covenant-creation. Sacrifice was no longer required, after the crucifixion of Jesus annulled the old covenant priesthood. Sacrifice ceased completely, when Rome broke their 3 1/2 year covenant with Jerusalem and then destroyed them for 3 1/2 years.

Just as it took 70 make up years before the Jews were allowed to enter Jerusalem, It took 70 years after Jesus was born to rein in the whole 1000 non sabbath keeping years. Half of those 70 years Jesus was in his physical body on earth and half of those years he was in his betrothed church body on earth. Now his image lives through his shalamed assembly. The word translated fulfilled/shalamed in verse 7 is the Greek word teleō. tel-eh'-o τελέω.

The Greek word for a thousand is used six times in six verses. The word τελέω is mentioned three times in these same verses.

If I spend all my time listening to and believing everything our government spins through their propaganda machine, then I would live out all my days in fear. I would be guilty of falling down and worshipping the beast side of our government. I would be taking on and promoting a false image rather than the true humanity some of our founders meant to convey. We are supposed to submit to and promote the true human side of our government. It is the only image that can give continued life to any assembly of people. True life rules.

Land and earth come from the same Greek word in this LXX to English translation of Psalm 85, so they can be interchanged. Truth has sprung out of the land. Jesus is the truth and the way.

Using only seven numbers to count with, seven of these weeks of weeks is 1000 years. 7x7x7=343. In base seven 343 = 1000.

I don't know if this is significant or not.

The Church fathers saw the number 1000 as "the totality of the generations and the perfection of the life". It is sometimes used in the bible as a hyperbole for a very large amount or a very long time or an indefinite quantity. Thousand is the symbol of the imperishable doctrine, according to the Talmud. It is also used symbolically for immortality or eternal happiness in heaven.
