Jesus spoke of his own rebirth.

John 2:16-21

ALT 16 And He said to the ones selling the doves, "Take these things from here! Stop making the house of my Father a house of trade!" 17 Then His disciples remembered that it is written, "The zeal of Your house will consume Me." [Psalm 69:9] 18 But the Jews answered and said to Him, "What sign do You show to us, that these things You do?" 19 Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up!" [cp. Matt 26:61; Mark 14:58] 20 Then the Jews said, "This temple was built [in] forty and six years, and You will raise it up in three days?" 21 But that [One] spoke concerning the temple of His body.

Nicodemus literally envisioned a second water birth.

John 3:3-4

LITV 3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, if one does not receive birth from above, he is not able to see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus said to Him, How is a man able to be born, being old? He is not able to enter into his mother's womb a second time and be born?

Nicodemus was not able to enter the kingdom of God without spirit birth.

John 3:5

ALT 5 Jesus answered, "Most positively, I say to you, unless someone is born from water and Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God.

Even Jesus' disciples wanted to rule the kingdom in their flesh.

Matthew 18:1-4

ALT 1 In that hour [or, At that time] the disciples approached Jesus, saying, "So who is greatest in the kingdom of the heavens?" 2 And Jesus having summoned a young child, He set him in the middle of them 3 and said, "Positively, I say to you(p), unless you(p) are turned around [fig., changed inwardly] and become like such young children, by no means shall you(p) enter into the kingdom of the heavens. 4 "Therefore, whoever will humble himself like this young child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of the heavens.

Flesh and blood wasn't enough for the imperishable kingdom rule. One must be born again.

1 Corinthians 15:50
ALT 50 Now this I say, brothers [and sisters], that flesh and blood is not able to inherit [the] kingdom of God, nor does the corruption [or, perishable] inherit the incorruption [or, imperishable].

Destruction came to the flesh and blood cosmos when it perished in AD 70. The spirit born new covenant saved the arrangement.

John 3:16

ECB 16 For Elohim loved the cosmos thus: that he gave his only birthed Son; that whoever trusts in him destructs not but has eternal life.

Maybe proselytes needed to be born again to become Jewish and inherit a place in the kingdom, but Nicodemus was already a Jew awaiting their kingdom's arrival. If Nicodemus were to be born again, he could see no better way to enter the kingdom than through his own flesh and blood Jewish mother again, which of course was impossible. Jesus said the unthinkable. Anyone wishing to see the kingdom would need another birth; one from above. Being born a flesh and blood Jew was enough for Jesus to be acceptable to His Father, even under law in the old covenant, but not for anyone else. As a fully developed Jew under law, Jesus came out of the water of baptism; the Holy Spirit remained on Him. Yet Jesus spoke of another baptism, when He would be birthed again by the Holy Spirit into the new covenant. He put the old covenant man to death to save His people. The Jews were then born again on the day of Pentecost because Jesus became the firstborn in the rebirthed Jewish covenant.

Luke 12:50
ALT 50 "But I have a baptism to be baptized [with], and how distressed I am until it is completed!

God sent His Son to save the orderly arrangement and it's inhabitants.

John 3:17

ECB 17 For Elohim apostolized not his Son into the cosmos to judge the cosmos; but that the cosmos be saved through him.

John 3:18

ECB 18 Whoever trusts in him is not judged; but whoever trusts not is already judged: because he trusts not in the name of the only birthed Son of Elohim.

Not all Israel in the flesh received the promised spirit birth.

Romans 9:1-8
ALT 1 I speak truth in Christ, I do not lie, my conscience testifies with me in [the] Holy Spirit, 2 that great sorrow is with me and unceasing pain in my heart, 3 for I could wish I myself to be accursed [Gr., anathema] from Christ on behalf of my [Jewish] brothers [and sisters], my fellow citizens according to the flesh, 4 who are Israelites, whose [is] the adoption and the glory and the covenants [or, the ordinances of the covenant] and the law-giving and the sacred service and the promises, 5 of whom [are] the fathers and out of whom [is] the Christ [or, the Messiah] (the [ancestral descent] according to [the]flesh), the One being over all God blessed into the ages [fig., forever]! So be it! 6 But it is not possible that the word of God has failed. For all the [ones] of Israel, these [are] not Israel; 7 nor [are they] all children because they are seed [fig., descendents] of Abraham, but "by Isaac will your seed [fig., descendents] be named." [Gen 21:12] 8 That is, the children of the flesh, these [are] not children of God, but the children of the promise are counted for seed [fig., descendents].

Reborn Israel lived. Israel in the flesh died in AD 70.

Romans 8:13

ALT 13 For if you(p) live according to the flesh, you(p) are about to die; but if by [the] Spirit you(p) put to death the deeds of the body, you(p) will live.

The 12 tribes were in the throes of death.

Romans 8:8-11

ECB 8 So they who are in flesh, cannot please Elohim. 9 And you are not in flesh, but in Spirit whenever the Spirit of Elohim dwell in you. and if one has not the Spirit of Messiah, he is none of his. 10 And if Messiah is in you, the body is indeed dead because of sin; and the Spirit is life because of justness. 11 But if the Spirit of him who raised Yah Shua from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Messiah from the dead also enlivens your mortal bodies through his Spirit dwelling in you.

The old covenant served the new covenant.

FROM SERVANT TO SONSHIP
ECB 1  And I word, as long time as the heir is a baby, he surpasses not a servant - being adoni of all; 2 but is under managers and administrators until the pre-appointment of the father. 3 Even so thus we, when we were babies, were subservient under the elements of the cosmos:

Jerusalem was restored to proclaim the Name.

Romans 9:17

ALT 17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very [reason] I raised you up, in order that I should show in you My power, and in order that My name shall be proclaimed far and wide in all the land." [Exod 9:16]

Romans 9:20

ECB 20 Yet so, O humanity, who are you to contradict Elohim? Says the molded to the molder, Why made you me thus?

Jerusalem was restored only to be destroyed again.

Romans 9:22

ALT 22 So [what] if God, desiring to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath having been prepared for destruction,

The reborn remnant was saved.

Romans 9:27

The land matter ended.

Romans 9:28

ALT 28 "For He is finishing and abruptly ending [the] matter in righteousness, because [the] matter having been ended abruptly will the LORD do on the land." [Isaiah 10:22,23]

Those in the flesh and blood covenant who were reborn were not put to shame.

Romans 9:31-33

ALT 31 But Israel, pursuing a law of righteousness, did not arrive at a law of righteousness. 32 Why? Because [they did] not [pursue it] by faith, but as though [it was] by works of [the] Law; for they stumbled at the stone of stumbling. 33 Just as it has been written, "Look! I place in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence; and every one believing on [or, trusting in] Him will not put to shame." [Isaiah 8:14; 28:16]

You(p) have been reborn.

Romans 8:9

ALT 9 But you(p) are not in [the] flesh but in [the] Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you(p); but if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this one is not His.

John's baptism was a picture of coming out of the water again. A newborn comes out of the water after being fully formed. John worked a soulish rebirth into reformation. John prepared Jewish flesh and blood for their spritual rebirth and reformation.

Matthew 3:11

YLT 11 `I indeed do baptize you with water to reformation, but he who after me is coming is mightier than I, of whom I am not worthy to bear the sandals, he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire,

The typical birth of the nation was in Moses.

1 Corinthians 10:1-6

YLT 1 And I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, 2 and all to Moses were baptized in the cloud, and in the sea; 3 and all the same spiritual food did eat, 4 and all the same spiritual drink did drink, for they were drinking of a spiritual rock following them, and the rock was the Christ; 5 but in the most of them God was not well pleased, for they were strewn in the wilderness,
6 and those things became types of us, for our not passionately desiring evil things, as also these did desire.

The body of Moses needed Christ

Jude 1:9

YLT 9 yet Michael, the chief messenger, when, with the devil contending, he was disputing about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring up an evil-speaking judgment, but said, `The Lord rebuke thee!'

All of Egypt was baptized in the sea. Only the new man nation came out of the water on dry land.

Israel did not drown in the Red sea. They were birthed. But their old slave master forces were put to death in the water. The whole nation of Pharaoh was baptised and only the new nation of the body of Moses came out on the other side. The tribes came out of the water on dry land to form the nation of Israel. Moses was a type of Christ. The new nation was birthed out of an old nation. Out of Egypt God called his son in the types mode. A human baby only takes 40 weeks to fully form. The body of Moses took 40 years. The body of Moses was birthed again to form the body of Christ, in their fulfillment of their types. The body of Christ also took 40 years to form but it formed before the old body was destroyed. It is in reverse because it follows the chiastic Hebrew poetry style or because it is in the reversal of the old covenant curses order and because God was applying grace to His people.

Ezekiel 38:16
YLT 16 And thou hast come up against My people Israel, As a cloud to cover the land, In the latter end of the days it is, And I have brought thee in against My land, In order that the nations may know Me, In My being sanctified in thee before their eyes, O Gog.

The new creation is the new covenant body.

Revelation 11:8

KJV 8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Many believe the old man nation is not dead yet. I copied the following sentence from a GRACE TO YOU websight article.

Israel's Future, Part 3

Since Christ was crucified after the end of the sixty-ninth week, but not during the seventieth week, there must be one week left of the seventy determined for Israel (Dan. 9:24).

Sorry, but that sentence does not sound very reasonable to me.

Daniel 9:24

KJV 24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Make an end of what?

The Hebrew words translated 'sins' in Daniel 9:24 are: חטּאת חטּאה

Brown-Driver-Briggs' Hebrew Definitions
חטּאת חטּאה

1. sin, sinful
2. sin, sin offering
 a. sin
 b. condition of sin, guilt of sin
 c. punishment for sin
 d. sin-offering
 e. purification from sins of ceremonial uncleanness

Bring in what?

The Hebrew word translated 'righteousness' in Daniel 9:24 is: צדק

Brown-Driver-Briggs' Hebrew Definitions
צדק

1. justice, rightness, righteousness
 a. what is right or just or normal, rightness, justness (of weights and measures)
 b. righteousness (in government)
  1. of judges, rulers, kings
  2. of law
  3. of Davidic king, Messiah
  4. of Jerusalem as seat of just government
  5. of God's attribute
 c. righteousness, justice (in case or cause)
 d. rightness (in speech)
 e. righteousness (as ethically right)
 f. righteousness (as vindicated), justification (in controversy), deliverance, victory, prosperity
  1. of God as covenant-keeping in redemption
  2. in name of Messianic king
  3. of people enjoying salvation
  4. of Cyrus

This translation makes more sense:

Daniel 9:24

Thomson 24 Seventy weeks are set apart for thy people and for the holy city; for finishing sin offerings, and for sealing up sin offerings; and blotting out iniquities, and making atonement for iniquities; and for bringing in an everlasting righteousness; and for sealing vision and prophet; and for anointing the Holy of Holies.

The last seven is the rebirth of the covenant. Daniel 9:34 actually says, "seventy sevens...". To seven is to make a covenant complete.

The Hebrew word for "oath" is "shevah," meaning "to seven oneself". The root word means, "to be full".
Old Testament Hebrew scholar Kenneth L. Barker wrote:

The cosmic order is restored by means of the oath and the name of the Son of Man. The oath is the means of creating order. It is the means of binding the fallen spirits who operate through nature in order to make them serve a higher purpose. To be initiated into the oath, according to the Jewish outlook, gives great power. It enables the initiate to summon and bind the spirits in his service by means of the even greater name whose authority he uses. When the great oath was broken [referring to Adam's sin and the Fall] the system began to collapse. The name of the Son of Man is the most powerful means of restoring order to a broken world.

I may not line up with Professor Barker's eschatology, but he is insightful to me in other areas.

The old man was put to death in the sea and the new man emerged: typified in Noah's flood, the Red Sea, and Jonah.

There is no sea in the new creation; only land. The twelve tribes were in the throes of the diaspora death. They were dispersed out into the nations. Biblically the sea represents the Gentile nations and covenant death. The Jews were submersed into the sea of nations and only the new man emerged onto the dry land of the new covenant creation; Jew and Gentile alike regardless of location. The new man nation does not need to be baptized in the sea again. The new man has been rebirthed and for the last time. The old man was put to death and the new man can never die. The new cosmos is not broken.

When Noah's corporate body was baptized the corrupted flesh actually died and only the new corporate body came out of the water onto dry land and into a type of new birth.

1 Peter 3:20-21 (Peter wrote to the Jews who were getting a new birth)

ECB 20 - who sometime distrusted when once the patience of Elohim awaited in the days of Noach while the ark was a preparing, wherein few - that is eight souls were saved through water: 21 to which baptism, the antitype, now also saves us - not the laying aside of filth of flesh but the question of a good conscience to Elohim through the resurrection of Yah Shua Messiah:

The antitype of Noah's baptism is to be saved by joining the made new body. The new head of the new body always has a good conscience toward God. Some diaspora wives were going to win their husbands' trust in the new body life without words.

SUBJUGATING IN RELATIONSHIPS
ECB 1 Likewise, women: subjugate yourselves to your own men; that even if any distrust the word, they also be gained without the word through the behavior of the women; 2 While in awe, they observe your hallowed behavior: 3 whose cosmos is not outward - of braiding the hair and of wrapping around of gold or of enduing garments: 4 but that secret human of the heart in what is incorruptible - of a meek and quiet spirit which is vastly precious in the sight of Elohim. 5 For thus also in the old time the holy women who hoped in Elohim adorned themselves; subjugating to their own men 6 - as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him adoni: of whom you became children - as long as you do good and are not awestricken of any terror. 7 Likewise men: co-settle according to knowledge; bestow honor as to the frailer vessel and as being co-heirs of the charism of life; that your prayers be not excsinded. 8 In completion/shalom, all likeminded, sympathetic one of another, befriending as brothers, tenderspleened, friendly minded: 9 not giving evil for evil or abuse for abuse - but contrariwise eulogize; knowing that you are called to this - to inherit a eulogy: 10 For whoever wills to love life and see good days, pause your tongue from evil, and that your lips not speak deceit, 11 deviate from evil and do good, seek shalom and pursue it. 12 Because the eyes of Yah Veh are over the just and his ears to their petitions: but the face of Yah Veh is against them who do evil. 13 And who is he that vilifies you, whenever you become mimickers of good? 14 But and if you suffer for sake of justness, Blessed! And neither awestricken by their awesomeness nor be troubled; 15 but hallow Yah Veh Elohim * in your hearts, ever prepared to plead to everyone who asks you a word concerning the hope in you with meekness and awe: *some mss: Adonay Messiah 16 having a good conscience; so that they who slander you as evildoers, who threaten your good behavior in Messiah, shame. 17 For it is better, if Elohim thus wills, that you suffer for doing good, than for doing evil: 18 because Messiah also suffered for sins once - the just for the unjust, to bring us to Elohim, indeed deathified in flesh and enlivened in the Spirit: 19 wherein he also went and preached to the spirits in the guardhouse 20 - who sometime distrusted when once the patience of Elohim awaited in the days of Noach while the ark was a preparing, wherein few - that is eight souls were saved through water:
