Before Christ came and saved the Jews, the Gentiles
were alienated from Israel.
Ephesians 2:12-16
CLV 12 that you
were, in that era, apart from Christ, being alienated from the
citizenship of Israel, and guests of the promise covenants, having
no expectation, and without God in the world." 13 Yet now,
in Christ Jesus, you, who once are far off, are become near by the
blood of Christ." 14 For He is
our Peace, Who makes both one, and razes the central wall of the
barrier" 15 (the
enmity in His flesh), nullifying the law of precepts in decrees,
that He should be creating the two, in Himself, into one new
humanity, making peace;" 16 and
should be reconciling both in one body to God through the cross,
killing the enmity in it."
Sacrificing could never cease under law
Hebrews 10:1-2
CLV 1For the law, having a shadow of the impending
good things, not the selfsame image of the matters, they, with
their same sacrifices which they are offering year by year, are
never able to perfect to a finality those
approaching." 2 Else would
they not cease being offered, because those offering divine
service, having been once cleansed, are having no longer any
consciousness of sins?
The Hebrews were sanctified by Christ before the final
destruction of the old covenant Israel
Hebrews 10:9-10
LITV 9 then He
said, "Lo, I come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first
in order that He may set up the second; 10 by which
will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus
Christ once for all.
The Hebrews got their new covenant
Hebrews 10:16
LITV 16"This
is the covenant which I will covenant to them after those days,
says the Lord: Giving My laws on their hearts, and I will write
them on their minds;"
The Hebrews no longer need to offer
sacrifices
Hebrews 10:17-18
ALT 17 [then He
adds] "And I shall by no means remember their sins and their
lawless deeds any longer." [Jer 31:33,34] 18 Now
where [there is] forgiveness of these [things, there
is] no longer an offering concerning sin.
The Hebrews were set free by the blood of
Jesus
Hebrews 10:19-20
ALT 19 Therefore,
brothers [and sisters], having confidence [or, a joyful
sense of freedom] for the entrance into the holy places by the
blood of Jesus, 20 by a new
and living way which He inaugurated for us, through the veil, that
is, His flesh,
The whole corporate body of the Hebrews was made
clean
Hebrews 10:21-22
ALT 21 and [having] a
High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us be
approaching with a true heart [fig., pure inner desire], in
full assurance of faith, our hearts [fig., inner
selves] having been sprinkled [clean] [fig.,
purified] from an evil conscience and the body having been
bathed with pure water.
The Hebrews were told to stay true
Hebrews 10:23
ECB 23 Hold down
the profession of our hope unwaveringly; for he who pre-evangelized
is trustworthy.
Some Hebrews rejected the Son of
God
Hebrews 10:28-29
ECB 28 Anyone who
set aside the torah of Mosheh died apart from compassion under two
or three witnesses: 29 of how
much worse punishment, think you, is he deemed worthy - who
tramples the Son of Elohim? - and deems profane the blood of the
covenant wherein he was hallowed? - and insults the Spirit of
charism?
Some of the Hebrews returned to the old
covenant
2 Peter 2:19-22
LITV 19 promising
them freedom, though themselves being slaves of corruption; for by
whom anyone has been overcome, even to this one he has been
enslaved. 20 For if
by a full knowledge of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, they have
escaped the defilements of the world, and again being entangled
they have been overcome by these, then their last things have
become worse than the first. 21 For
it was better for them not to have fully known the way of
righteousness, than fully knowing to turn from the holy commandment
delivered to them. 22 But the
word of the true proverb has happened to them: " The dog turning to
his own vomit;" also, the washed sow to wallowing in mud. Prov.

The true circumcision kept the new

Philippians 3:2
ALT 2 Be
watching out for [or, Beware of] the dogs! Be watching
out for the evil laborers! Be watching out for the
mutilation [or, false circumcision]!
New covenant Hebrews got their new breath of life on
Pentecost while old covenant holdouts lost their salvation and got
their second death on AD 70. They had a church split
between the old covenant church and the new covenant church.
Hebrews 10:39
ECB 39 And we are
not of them who withdraw to destruction; but of them who trust to
the acquiring of the soul.
After Pentecost the holy Hebrews invited the Gentiles
into their new covenant church
Ephesians 2:19
ALT 19 So,
consequently, you(p) are no longer strangers and
foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the holy ones
and [members] of the household of God,
