Acts 15:1-20

certain [men] having come down from Judea began teaching
the brothers, "Unless you(p) are circumcised [according
to] the custom of Moses, you(p) are not able to be
saved." 2 Therefore, [there]having
occurred not a little [fig, a serious] conflict and
debate with Paul and Barnabas against them, they arranged for Paul
and Barnabas and certain others of them to be going up to the
apostles and elders to Jerusalem about this point of
disagreement. 3 So they indeed
having been sent on their journey by the assembly, were passing
through Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion
of the Gentiles, and they were causing great joy to all the
brothers [and sisters]. 4 Now having
arrived at Jerusalem, they were received by the assembly and the
apostles and the elders, and they reported as many things as God
did with them. 5 But some of the
ones having believed from the sect of the Pharisees stood up,
saying, "It is necessary to be circumcising them and to be giving
strict orders [to them] to be keeping the Law of
Moses." 6 So the apostles
and the elders were gathered together to see about this
matter. 7 Now much debate
having taken place, having risen up, Peter said to them, "Men,
brothers, you(p) know that from former days God chose among
us [for] the Gentiles to hear the word of the Gospel
through my mouth and to believe. 8 "And the
heart-knowing God testified to them by having given the Holy Spirit
to them, just as also to us, 9 and also
distinguished nothing between us and them, having
purified [or, purged] their hearts by
faith. 10 "Now
therefore, why are you(p) testing God [by
trying] to put a yoke on the neck of the disciples, which
neither our fathers nor we were able to
bear? 11 "But we
believe [we are] saved through the grace of the Lord
Jesus, according to which manner they
also [are]." 12 Then all the
multitude kept silent, and they were listening to Barnabas and Paul
explaining how many signs and wonders God did among the Gentiles
through them. 13 Now after
they became silent, James answered, saying, "Men, brothers, listen
to me. 14 "Simon
explained how God first visited [them] to take out
of [the] Gentiles a people for His name. 15 "And with
this the words of the prophets agree, just as it has been
written: 16 'After
these [things] I will return, and I will rebuild the
tabernacle of David, the one having fallen down, and
the [things]having been torn down [from] it I will
rebuild, and I will restore it, 17 in order that
the remaining peoples [i.e. non-Jews] shall diligently
seek the LORD, even all the Gentiles on whom My name has been
called on them, says the LORD, the One doing all these
things.' [Amos 9:11,12] 18 "Known
from [the] ages [fig., from eternity] to God is
all His works. 19 "For this
reason, I judge not to be troubling
the [ones] turning to God from the
Gentiles, 20 but to
write instructions to them to be abstaining from the pollutions of
the idols and from sexual sin and from the
strangled [animal] and from blood.
Acts 15:17 (Yahwey makes a new covenant)
ECB 17 so that the
rest of humanity seeks after Yah Veh, and all the
goyim upon whom my name is called, words Yah Veh, who does all
these. Amos 9:11, 12
James (A.K.A. Jacob) changed "Edom" to "humanity", when
he quoted Amos 9:11-12. Edom represents those who knew Yahwey yet
became His enemy. Edomites were the descendents of Lot. They were
in Adam (humanity) and related to the 12 tribes. The other nations
are those who were born enemies because they never knew Yahwey,
until the diaspora permeated the gentile lands with Yahwey's
humanity. Like Edom, all but the
remnant of the Jews were Yahwey's enemies and they were about to be
destoyed for it. The Holy Spirit brought Yahwey's name to the new
covenant elect. Israel in the flesh was the old covenant elect
nation that carried Yahwey's name.
Acts 15:17 My
Interlinear Translation
17 In order that
the remnants of humanity [i.e., those in Adam] may seek after
Yahweh and (also) all the nations upon whom my name is called upon
them; says Yahweh who does all these things.
According to James 3:7, all the living
souls of Genesis (animal types) had been tamed by the human soul
(Adam).
James 3:7
CLV 7 For every
nature, both of wild beasts and flying creatures, both of reptiles
and those of the salt sea, is tamed and has been tamed by human
nature."
Amos
9:11-12
EJ2000 11 ΒΆ In that
day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen and
close up its breaches; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will
build it as in the days of old: 12 that
those who are called by my name may possess the remnant of
Edom and all the Gentiles, said the LORD that does
this.
Barnes' Notes on the
Bible Amos
9:12
Israel then, or the Jewish
Church, was to inherit, or take into itself, not Edom only, but all
nations, and that, by their belonging to God. Edom, as the brother
of Israel and yet his implacable enemy, stands as a symbol of all
who were alien from God, over against His people. He says, the
"residue of Edom," because he had foretold the destruction which
was first to come upon Edom; and Holy Scripture everywhere speaks
of those who should be converted, as a "remnant" only. The Jews
themselves are the keepers and witnesses of these words. Was it not
foretold? It stands written. Is it not fulfilled? The whole world
from this country to China, and from China round again to us, as
far as it is Christian, and as, year by year, more are gathered
into the fold of Christ, are the inheritance of those who were the
seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
To strip off the body of
flesh is to remove the keeping of
types.
Colossians
2:11
CLV 11 in Whom
you were circumcised also with a circumcision not made by hands, in
the stripping off of the body of flesh in the circumcision of
Christ."
It is the church in the spirit that takes the
true spirit of Yeshua to the nations. The church in the flesh
wanted to put a yoke on the neck that was impossible to bear. To
truly love their enemies, the spiritual Jews ruled them with true
humanity and made them their friends; that is, they took Christ to
the nations. Peter, Barnabas, Paul and James were in agreement.
They did not allow the new Jewish church to require the old flesh
yoke, because it was impossible to bear. If the Jewish Christians
would have gone along with the believing Pharasees then there would
still be enmity between Jew and Gentile. They would not be one
body; Jew and Gentile alike. The genetically Jewish born Paul
rebuked the Jewish born Peter for continuing to make a distinction
between Jew and Gentile genes after the rebirth of the church body.
After the Jews were reborn at Pentecost the Holy Spirit added all
believers regardless of their genetic make up.
Jeremiah 4:4
CLV 4 Be
circumcised to Yahweh, And turn aside the foreskins of your heart,
O man of Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, Lest My fury go
out as fire, and has burned, And there is none quenching, Because
of the evil of your doings."
Romans 2:29
LITV 29 but he is a
Jew that is one inwardly, and circumcision is of heart, in spirit,
not in letter; of whom the praise is not from men, but from
God.

century Jewish Christians knew.
2 Corinthians 5:1

we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle is taken down,
we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal
in Heaven.
The new
covenant/creation rules. The old covenant/creation was destroyed in
AD 70.
Galatians 6:15
LITV 15 For in
Christ Jesus neither circumcision has any strength nor
uncircumcision, but a new creation.
James (Jacob) agreed with Simon by backing him up with
the words of the prophets. In the new covenant, God was restoring
and rebuilding David's tabernacle to include all the races. Verse
18 is then the reason James gives for not troubling the people from
the nations who are turning to the Hebrew God named Yahweh. But
verse 18 has a variety of translations:

from the age are all his works.
We are the work of Yahwey through Yeshua. He rules in
his people. The Jewish types given by Moses, such as keeping
festivals and circumcision, are fulfilled in our new covenant
church. The body of Moses has been raised into the body of the
Messiah.

of the messiah today; the church.
Zechariah 9:10
YLT 10 And I
have cut off the chariot from Ephraim, And the horse from
Jerusalem, Yea, cut off hath been the bow of battle, And he hath
spoken peace to nations, And his rule is from sea unto
sea, And from the river unto the ends of earth.
Is Yahwey going to cut
off horseback riders with their bows and arrows in a future
Jerusalem? Like Adam, Joshua (Yeshua) from the tribe of Ephraim was
only a type of the coming one. The typical Joshua took them into
the typical promised land with military force. Jesus (Yeshua)
conquers a harder land; the heart. Only the mythical Cupid uses a
bow and arrow to do that, even then they are arrows of gold.
Cupid's lead tipped arrows are used to drive people away. After
Yeshua married the heavenly city, he sent Rome to remove the
unbelievers from his old city that was dependent on keeping
sacrifices and festivals in a certain location. Now the church
voluntarily scatters itself into the nations. It is called
missions; yet unlike the forced old covenant diaspora (seeding),
new covenant Jews never leave their new covenant land. The temple
of Yahwey is His people. They live in His heavenly city on the
planet we have recently named earth; which means
land.
Yahwey's people are in the body of Christ; the
church.
Decentralization means the image of God lives in people of all
races.
Galatians 3:29
CLV 29 Now if
you are Christ's, consequently you are of Abraham's seed, enjoyers
of the allotment according to the promise."
