COSMOS   -    'κόσμος'  is usually translated  'world'

John 3:16

ECB 16 For Elohim loved the cosmos thus: that he gave his only birthed Son; that whoever trusts in him destructs not but has eternal life.

cosmos  -  κόσμος  -  order

Thayer: an apt and harmonious arrangement or constitution, order, government

Strong's: orderly arrangement, i.e. decoration; by implication, the world (in a wide or narrow sense, including its  inhabitants, literally or figuratively (morally)

John 1:10

LITV 10 He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, yet the world did not know Him.

God specifically chose to make a nation with more moral order than the rest of His creations. He obviously loved the whole world of nations, because after delivering the Jews from their 'missing it' and giving them the Holy Spirit, he did the same for all the nations. He dispersed the Hebrews into the whole world and they introduced His better moral order to the other nations to prepare them for the gospel. The king of Babylon even recognized the human image in his Jewish citizens. They were better than the animal he was. The king eventually turned and worshipped the Hebrew God over his god. The Hebrew God offered him the best world.

God's cosmos is not just cosmetic.

1 Peter 3:3-4

ECB 3 whose cosmos is not outward - of braiding the hair and of wrapping around of gold or of enduing garments: 4 but that secret human of the heart in what is incorruptible - of a meek and quiet spirit which is vastly precious in the sight of Elohim.

The word translated 'human' in the above verse is 'anthropos', which refers to God's covenant people. The new covenant human is incorruptible.

Ephesians 4:22-24 (put off old covenant and put on new covenant)

CLV 22 to put off from you, as regards your former behavior, the old humanity which is corrupted in accord with its seductive desires, 23 yet to be rejuvenated in the spirit of your mind, 24 and to put on the new humanity which, in accord with God, is being created in righteousness and benignity of the truth."

John 15:18 (The old covenant order was hating the new covenant order before they got the Roman order involved)

CLV 18 If the world is hating you, know that it has hated Me first before you."

God so loved the Jewish cosmos that He gave them His only begotten Son so they could live forever in the new cosmos (world, order).

Revelation 3:9 (written to the true Jews)

CLV 9 Lo! I have granted to those of the synagogue of Satan, (who are saying that they themselves are Jews, and are not, but are lying) - Lo! I shall be making them that they will be arriving and worshiping, before your feet, and they may know that I love you."

The verse above was written to a first century church when Satan was the elohim of Rome, but God still loves His cosmos. It is where people are raised into His image. That is why His Son was born into the Jewish cosmos. His most orderly arrangement is still His Jewish born church.
