The Typical Origins

Paul spoke to the Gentiles about the typical beginning of his national body because it was this dead corporate body that first recieved the Holy Spirit. Something can't come to life if it is not already dead. If the head is dead then so is the body, unless it is on life support. Last Adam was the first individual to be anti-typically raised from this dead body. The twelve tribes were next in line for the fulfillment of types. The Jews then started bringing believers from all nations into their eschaton body.

According to geographical location, the twelve tribes in the body of Christ were still scattered. They didn't have one corporate flesh body any more. By the Spirit though, they are united into one body by the Head. Gentiles were also being added to this resurrected body of Christ (no longer typically under law in the flesh mode). Gentiles are also raised by the life-giving spirit of the Jewish Messiah. Adam's original great commission was to procreate and tame the animals (nations not yet suitable for Adam to take a bride from).

The image of God is even now being breathed into people of all races. The great commission is fulfilled through the eschaton Adam. What is more important than developing the image of Yahwey in people? Would the Apple corporation become greater if everyone who built, sold, serviced or bought their product moved in together; into one nation? What's the real point?

Paul didn't want the Gentile converts to be uninformed about the typical creation of their Jewish family body. Was Jesus not Jewish? Maybe you think the head of our family is now a Gentile and He will rejoin the true Jewish body later?

1 Corinthians 10:1-5

YLT 1 And I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, 2 and all to Moses were baptized in the cloud, and in the sea; 3 and all the same spiritual food did eat, 4 and all the same spiritual drink did drink, for they were drinking of a spiritual rock following them, and the rock was the Christ; 5 but in the most of them God was not well pleased, for they were strewn in the wilderness,

1 Corinthians 12:2

CLV 2 You are aware that when you were of the nations, you were led away to the voiceless idols, as ever you were led."

1 Corinthians 12:18

CLV 18 Yet now God placed the members, each one of them, in the body according as He wills. "

Where's the national body? It is spiritual. People from all lands are now made clean by the Holy Spirit rather than the typical Holy Land.

1 Corinthians 15:44-46

LITV 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 So also it has been written, "The" first "man", Adam, "became a living soul;" the last Adam a life-giving Spirit. Gen. 2:7 46 But not the spiritual first, but the natural; afterward the spiritual.

Acts 10:11-14

YLT 11 and he doth behold the heaven opened, and descending unto him a certain vessel, as a great sheet, bound at the four corners, and let down upon the earth, 12 in which were all the four-footed beasts of the earth, and the wild beasts, and the creeping things, and the fowls of the heaven, 13 and there came a voice unto him: `Having risen, Peter, slay and eat.' 14 And Peter said, `Not so, Lord; because at no time did I eat anything common or unclean;'

F.F. Bruce wrote:

But Peter must be prepared for the interview as well as Cornelius, and there were scruples to be overcome on Peter's side as there were not on Cornelius's. A God-fearer had no objection to the society of the Jews, but even a moderately orthodox Jew would not willingly enter the dwelling of a Gentile, God-fearer though he were. No doubt some of Peter's inherited prejudices were wearing thin by this time, but a special revelation was necessary to make him consent to visit a Gentile.

Bruce, F. F., The New International Commentary on the New Testament - Commentary on the Book of the Acts, Grand Rapids, Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Co., Reprinted, June 1984, 217

Acts 11:15-18

YLT 15 `And in my beginning to speak, the Holy Spirit did fall upon them, even as also upon us in the beginning, 16 and I remembered the saying of the Lord, how he said, John indeed did baptize with water, and ye shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit; 17 if then the equal gift God did give to them as also to us, having believed upon the Lord Jesus Christ, I—how was I able to withstand God?' 18 And they, having heard these things, were silent, and were glorifying God, saying, `Then, indeed, also to the nations did God give the reformation to life.'

Jacob wrote to the scattered humanity before the other creations were made clean by the Holy Spirit. They were already being restrained by the almost omnipresent diaspora; tamed by the old covenant flesh mode.

James 3:7-8 (Jacob to the 12 tribes)

JMNT 7 For every nature, both of wild animals and of flying creatures, both of creeping animals and of those in the salt sea, is continuously being restrained (tamed) and has been restrained by the nature of man (the human nature). 8 But the tongue – an unruly (un-restrainable; other MSS: unfixed; unstable; restless), worthless (ugly; bad; malicious; unrefined; harmful; base) [member], full of death-bearing venom – no one of humanity is able (continues having power) to subdue, restrain or tame.

Michael deferred to Jesus as the only advocate for humanity. Satan held the law over everyone in the body of Moses; believer or not.

Jude 1:9

JuliaSmith 9 But Michael the archangel, when fighting with the accuser, discussed concerning the body of Moses, dared not to bring the judgment of defamation, but said, May the Lord censure thee.

Adam broke the law of the garden and everyone in the body of Moses broke the law of the land. What about those in between?

Romans 5:14

CLV 14 nevertheless death reigns from Adam unto Moses, over those also who do not sin in the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him Who is about to be."

Are the four Gospels new covenant or old covenant?

Jesus ministered in the old covenant for three and a half years. Then He returned to the same body and location; to stand in the new covenant. He only stayed on site for forty days. The twelve tribes did not begin to stand in the new covenant until Acts chapter 2. The whole Bible was written while the typical covenant still existed. Since there were unbelievers in the typical old covenant and there are only believers in the fulfillment covenant, a seperation had to occur. This reperation was by Spirit and by fire, as was evidenced in the land of types.

End of old testament?

Malachi 4

LITV 1 For, behold, the day is coming, burning like a fire pot; and all the proud and every doer of wickedness shall be chaff. And the coming day will set them ablaze, says Jehovah of hosts, which will not leave root or branches to them. 2 But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall rise up, and healing will be on His wings. And you shall go out and frisk like calves of the stall. 3 And you shall tread under the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day which I am preparing, says Jehovah of hosts. 4 Remember the law of My servant Moses which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments. 5 Behold, I am sending you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Jehovah. 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, that I not come and strike the earth with utter destruction. END OF THE OLD TESTAMENT

The above version adds "END OF THE OLD TESTAMENT" to the translation. They may even place a blank page here in your Bible. Clearly the typical land was struck with destruction in AD 70, yet the covenant body lives on. The planet that we have since named "Earth" was not destroyed either.

Luke 1:16-17

ALT 16 "And he will turn many of the sons [and daughters] of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 "And he will go before Him in [the] spirit and power of Elijah, to turn hearts [fig., inner selves, and throughout book] of fathers to children, and disobedient [ones] to the way of thinking of righteous [ones], to make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord."

Matthew 11:14

YLT 14 and if ye are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who was about to come;

Jesus' disciples had heard the scribes talk about Malachi 4.

Matthew 17:10-13 (Jesus said John was the "Elijah" to come.)

YLT 10 And his disciples questioned him, saying, `Why then do the scribes say that Elijah it behoveth to come first?' 11 And Jesus answering said to them, `Elijah doth indeed come first, and shall restore all things, 12 and I say to you—Elijah did already come, and they did not know him, but did with him whatever they would, so also the Son of Man is about to suffer by them.' 13 Then understood the disciples that concerning John the Baptist he spake to them.

John denies the majority representation of the fulfillment. John was not the reincarnated Elijah that the Jews were expecting to see. It did not end up the literary way they taught.

John 1:18-21 (John said he was not Elijah reincarnated.)

ALT 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only-begotten [or, unique] Son, the One in the bosom of the Father, that One explained [Him] [or, made [Him] known]19 And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent from Jerusalem priests and Levites, so that they should question him, "You, who are you?" 20 And he confessed and did not deny, and confessed, "I am not the Christ ["the Anointed One"]." 21 And they questioned him, "What then? Are you Elijah?" And he says, "I am not."— "Are you the Prophet?" And he answered, "No."

Nearing the end of their old covenant, Jesus called the typical teachers "blind guides".

Matthew 23:16-38

ALT 16 "How horrible it will be to youp, blind guides, the ones saying, 'Whoever takes an oath by the temple, it is nothing, but whoever takes an oath by the gold of the temple is obligated [to fulfill the oath]!' 17 "Fools and blind [ones]! For which [is] greater, the gold or the temple, the one sanctifying the gold? 18 "And [youp say], 'Whoever takes an oath by the altar, it is nothing, but whoever takes an oath by the gift that is on it is obligated [to fulfill the oath]!' 19 "Fools and blind [ones]! For which [is] greater, the gift or the altar which sanctifies the gift? 20"Therefore, the one having taken an oath by the altar, takes an oath by it and by all things on it. 21 "And the one having taken an oath by the sanctuary, takes an oath by it and by the One having dwelt in it. 22"And the one having taken an oath by heaven, takes an oath by the throne of God and by the One sitting on it. 23 "How horrible it will be to youp, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you tithe [i.e. give a tenth as an offering] of the mint and the dill and the cumin [i.e., various seasonings] and neglected the weightier [fig., more important] [matters] of the Law: the judgment [or, justice] and the mercy and the faith; these it was necessary to do, and those not to be neglecting. 24 "Blind guides! The ones straining out the gnat, but swallowing the camel! 25 "How horrible it will be to youp, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because youp cleanse [or, purify] the outside of the cup and the plate, but within they are full of violent greed and unrighteousness. 26 "Blind Pharisee! First cleanse the inside of the cup and of the dish, so that the outside of them should also become clean. 27 "How horrible it will be to youp, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because youp resemble graves having been whitewashed [or, whitewashed graves], which outwardly indeed appear beautiful, but within are full of bones of dead [people] and of all uncleanness [or, impurity]. 28 "In the same way, youp also indeed outwardly appear to the people [as] righteous, but within youp are full of hypocrisy [or, insincerity] and lawlessness. 29 "How horrible it will be to youp, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because youp build the graves of the prophets and adorn the tombs of the righteous, 30 and youp say, 'If we were [fig., had lived] in the days of our fathers, we would not have been participants with them in the blood of the prophets,' 31 with the result that youp testify against yourselves that youp are sons of the ones having murdered the prophets. 32 "And youp fill up the measure of yourp fathers. 33 "Serpents! Brood of vipers! How shall youp escape from the judgment of hell [Gr., gehenna]? 34 "For this reason, look!, I send to youp prophets and wise men and scribes; and [some] of them youp will kill and crucify, and [some] of them youp will scourge in yourp synagogues and will pursue from city to city; 35 in order that on youp shall come all the righteous blood being poured out on the earth from the blood of Abel the righteous up to the blood of Zacharias, son of Barachias, whom youp murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. [cp. Gen 4:8-10; 2Chron 24:20-22] 36 Positively, I say to youp that all these things will come on this generation. 37 "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one killing the prophets and stoning the ones having been sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her own chickens under the wings, and you did not want to! 38 "Look! Your house is left to youp desolate.

They somehow typically taught an anti-kingdom message.

Matthew 23:14-15 (p is for plural)

ALT 14 "How horrible it will be to youp, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because youp shut off the kingdom of the heavens before the people, for youp do not enter, nor do Youp allow the ones entering to enter. 15 "How horrible it will be to youp, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because youp travel over the sea and the dry land to make one proselyte [or, convert to Judaism], and whenever it happens, youp make him twice as much a son of hell [Gr., gehenna] [as] youp [are].

Covenant death was fully destroyed. New covenant people are the believers only. There is no faithful remnant in the new covenant. All believers are kept in covenant and this is regardless of location. Christians can't "go to hell", as intimidating as that phrase still is.

Revelation 20:14-15 (The old covenant went to it's second death.)

KJV 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The belief that Revelation 20:14 is still future, ergo we are perpetually stuck in the old-covenant-death mode, has certainly helped the Catholic church become the wealthiest organization in the world.

2 Maccabees 12:40-45 RSVA

40 Then under the tunic of every one of the dead they found sacred tokens of the idols of Jamnia, which the law forbids the Jews to wear. And it became clear to all that this was why these men had fallen. 41 So they all blessed the ways of the Lord, the righteous Judge, who reveals the things that are hidden; 42 and they turned to prayer, beseeching that the sin which had been committed might be wholly blotted out. And the noble Judas exhorted the people to keep themselves free from sin, for they had seen with their own eyes what had happened because of the sin of those who had fallen. 43 He also took up a collection, man by man, to the amount of two thousand drachmas of silver, and sent it to Jerusalem to provide for a sin offering. In doing this he acted very well and honorably, taking account of the resurrection. 44 For if he were not expecting that those who had fallen would rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead. 45 But if he was looking to the splendid reward that is laid up for those who fall asleep in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought. Therefore he made atonement for the dead, that they might be delivered from their sin.
